Go green this winter

With winters knocking at your door, it is time to gear up and indulge in fresh greens which are available in plenty. Making greens like, spinach (Palak), fenugreek (Methi), Sarson ka Saag a part of your daily diet will not only give you the necessary nutrients but also add some variety to your meals. You can also use coriander leaves generously in the form of chutneys in pooris or parathas or simply for garnishing!

Greens are wonderful sources of fibre and many vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals – natural components in fruit and vegetables that offer health benefits beyond nutrition. Scientific evidence shows that those who eat a diet rich in vegetables have a lower risk of many diseases, including heart disease, stroke and certain cancers.
