Rich and Creamy Sauces – No Added Calories!

Is it possible to make creamy and tasty sauces without oil, whipped cream, or butter?

You’ll be surprised! Here are two examples of cream based sauces:

• Simmer onions and garlic slowly in low heat, then combine with silken bean curd and soya milk for a robust, thick consistency. When you heat the onions gradually, they unlock a good deal of flavour that enhances the flavouring of soya. For additional flavour, blend in fresh or dried herbs to the onions as it is simmering.

• Mix blanched white beans or whipped potatoes with soya milk or skimmed cow’s milk to prepare a layer for another a wholesome cream sauce. Once more, try cooking the onions on a low flame to release the flavour.
