Yellow, juicy, fleshy, sweet – you guessed it right! We’re talking of the king of fruits, mangoes! The summer months are here and it brings with it one of the tastiest fruits we all love – mangoes! Rich in dietary fiber, mangoes are loaded with vitamin A, B and C, potassium, amino acids and antioxidants.
Mangoes can be had ripe or unripe in various forms. Puddings, lassi, sorbets, soufflés, shakes, sliced or chopped, kulfis, salads, salsas, chutneys – have it in any way you want!

Blend 300 ml milk, 200 ml fresh cream, 1 mango, peeled, cut and pureed (approximately 1 cup mango puree), 60 gm and 2 tbsp custard powder or cornstarch. Mix all the ingredients and make sure there are no lumps. Bring this entire mixture to a boil on a medium low flame, stirring all the while for 8 to 10 minutes. Pour into individual bowls or a single bowl, bring to room temperature and cool in the refrigerator before serving. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream before you serve!
