Red and bright cherries for good health

Bright little cherries are not just a visual treat but also have lots of health benefits.
They owe their rich red color to anthocyanins which are rich in antioxidants. Intake of cherries results in lower blood levels of cholesterol and triglycerides.
Cherries are also very helpful in reduction of weight and curbs inflammation. Apart from all this they are used liberally to enhance the look of various desserts.
Cherry ‘satounishiki’  is grown in Yamagata region of Japan. Yamagata is famous for its fruits. Yamagata produces 70% share of Japan’s cherries. The most famous cherry is called ‘Satonishiki’.
It is well known for its red color and sweet taste.
