Fruits of the season – Strawberries!

This luscious fruit is widely popular and if you are not already a fan of strawberries, you should be.
Here are few reasons to make you fall in love with this fruit –
  1. Strawberries are an excellent source of Vitamin C and are packed with B2, B5 & B6. According to a study done by California Strawberry Commission, a serving of strawberries (about 8 strawberries) provides 160 percent of the recommended daily intake for Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps in fighting stomach, cervical, breast and non-hormone-dependent cancers.
  2. It also helps in removing stains from teeth. Cut a strawberry in half and rub it on the gums and teeth.
  3. Strawberries are virtually fat-free, studies show that one cup of strawberries contains only 0.6 grams of fat.
